Visit to Constitutional Court in Indonesia

On the 20th of July, we, the delegates of the World Student Christian Federation Asia Pacific (WSCF AP), were honored with an invitation to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (Mahkamah Konstitusi), located in Jakarta. This unique opportunity was generously offered by Dr. Daniel Yusmic Pancastaki Foekh, a respected member of the Constitutional Court for the 2020-2025 term, a Senior Friend of the Indonesian Student Christian Movement (GMKI), and a cherished associate of the WSCF.

Dr. Daniel took us on an enlightening tour of the Constitutional Court, graciously sharing his extensive knowledge and deep understanding of the institution. This was a profound learning experience for us, wherein he illustrated the vital function of the Constitutional Court and shed light on the intricacies of the Indonesian Constitution.

Dr. Yusmic’s dedication and active involvement in the AP region have always been deeply appreciated. His unwavering commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of the Constitution amongst our delegates reflects his dedication and passion for the region.

During our visit, the conference followed by a business lunch enabled us to gain first-hand knowledge about the Court’s pivotal role in shaping Indonesian society. These experiences proved invaluable, extending our understanding beyond the scope of theoretical knowledge.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Daniel Yusmic Pancastaki Foekh for this enriching and insightful experience. His sincere effort and dedication to share his expertise and insights with us will forever remain an integral part of our Indonesian visit. We hope that this meaningful interaction strengthens our ties and fosters increased cooperation in the future.
