Between July 13-15, the officers and staff of the WSCF congregated for the first time since the 37th General Assembly in Berlin (2022), focusing on planning and capacity-building activities to progress the new strategic plan awaiting Executive Committee approval. This pivotal meet-up emphasized mutual accountability, effective communication, and developing standards for a New Federative Covenant, aiming for the collaborative execution of programs and governance decisions.
The outcomes included affirmation of changes mandated by the 37th General Assembly, establishing consensus on the programmatic and operational model, and defining clear roles for board and executive members. Crucial programmatic areas, including Youth, Security, and Peace, Climate and Economic Justice, Democracy, Human Rights and Fundamentalisms, Identity, Diversity and Dialogue, and Gender Justice, as well as Ecumenical Leadership, were identified.To reinforce collaboration, Regional Executive / Program Coordinators’ roles were defined, and a global-interregional plan was established, clarifying strategies and actions to be implemented interconnectedly and inter-regionally. The coordinators will work closely with the General Secretary and the Inter-regional Office Staff, ensuring smooth implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of global programs.
